Our Philosophy

At 1,2,3 ABC Infant & Toddler Center we believe that children have the right to a safe, nurturing, inclusive and developmentally appropriate environment. We believe that each child is a unique individual, however a child’s education and care has to focus on each child seen in relation with other children, with the family, with the community and with the wider society.

We plan and offer activities that match and meet the abilities of the children in our care. Children will witness behaviors that respects the rights as well as cultural and physical differences of others. We respect and value children as well as their diversity. We are committed to deliver a warm, secure and loving environment that is the foundation on which further development and learning in young children will occur. We as the staff are dedicated to providing an excellent learning environment for all children. We pride ourselves in addressing the emotional needs of every child. The teachers are caring and nurturing and are always available to parents and children should there be any concerns.

My name is Katrina Bower and I started working in the field of childcare 14 years ago.

I hold both my ECE and Montessori Teacher diplomas.

The part I enjoy the most about my work is the bond you form with the children and their families and the enjoyment on their faces when they arrive at the daycare.

I also enjoy being a part of a network of people who are able to offer children learning opportunities and explanation about the world around us.

My name is Alicia Wozniak and I am the Manager of 1,2,3 ABC Learning Center.

I have been in the ECE field for 22 years. Over the years I have worked with children ranging from 9 months to 6 years of age.

I graduated from Western Montessori Teacher’s College in 1995. I hold both an ECE and Infant/Toddler diplomas.

It is a real joy and very rewarding for me to watch childrens’ growth and development on a daily basis.

I take pride in making our program as fun as possible. Children learn best through play and that is integrated into our facility schedule daily.

I am grateful to be a part of this wonderful team of caregivers and to work alongside the families we serve.
